The position

You’ll be at the heart of a cutting-edge team transforming advanced space services and dedicated to addressing the challenges of New Space and current space missions. You’ll be interacting with partners, interdisciplinary teams and customers on every continent on the planet.

You’ll be providing your engineering skills to a wide variety of missions from the world’s largest network of multi-mission ground stations.

The enterprise

They provide satellite management services from the world’s largest network of ground stations which track and communicate with an increasing range of scientific, earth observation, navigation and telecoms satellites. The network of 100 antennas around the world has engineering and manned network operations centers in Horsham Pennsylvania, Santiago Chile and Kiruna in Sweden. They engage with the most exciting technology both on the ground and in space and the challenges they bring.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, develop and integrate new missions into the telemetry, tracking and control (TT&C) system.
  • Manage definition and project cost estimations of program technical requirements.
  • Ensure validation of new program requirements into the network.
  • Ensure success of existing programs/customers utilizing shared TT&C resources.
  • Modify hardware systems– through requirements definition, system integration & test and operational deployment.

Skills:

  • Experience in systems engineering hardware/software design, integration and test
  • Familiarity with ground station/network equipment and protocols in satellite communication (RF modulation techniques, error coding, and standards) is a plus.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Time management, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and SharePoint
